Data Policy

Dear Member.

RE : Liverpool and District Rugby Union Referees Society (“society”) GDPR Notice

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force May 25th 2018, and regulates the way the society handles your personal information.

The society uses your personal data to manage and administer your membership and your involvement with the society and to keep in contact with you for these purposes. This also involves publishing some of your personal information in the Society handbook as in previous seasons. The handbook will be available to non members of the Society. Data including but not restricted to the handbook will be available on our Pitchero website.

Some data is shared with the RFU who use your data to regulate, develop and manage the game. Data will also be shared with Who’s the Ref (WTR) for legitimate purposes of the society which will include passing information onto people and organisations outside the society. Some data may in the future be given to kit suppliers for the purposes of providing members with shirts etc. Some data could be provided to the FCA or other bodies as part of our incorporation of the society. Data in relation to discipline will be provided to clubs, other societies, RFU and constituent bodies.
Data will also be shared with Google for the purpose of bulk emailing members. Some data may also be shared with other Societies in the U.K. or overseas for the purpose of exchange of members. Data may be collected of visual and audio content of actual games/training this may be used within the society and wider RFU for training and development purposes.
