From the appointment team - please help us to help you and the clubs.
The appointment team are getting lots of enquires from club liaison people because referees aren't accepting games as quickly as they should.
A reminder - the way the system works is when you are appoint the appointed referee is gray on the system, when the appointments team publish to you the referees the appointment goes red, the referee gets an email to accept/decline the game whilst we are waiting for the referee to accept it stays red when referees accept it then goes green
This is the important bit....
once it goes GREEN and ONLY THEN will it email the club liaison with the referees details, so red means the clubs just see a blank on their bit of WTR or if you look on the feed on pitchero home page (bottom right corner).
If you dont accept (and the fixture is RED) when the clubs look on WTR looks as though they don’t have a referee when in fact they do the referee its just the person appointed just hasn’t been proactive enough
This is currently the single biggest reason for club liaison people to contact us.
So don’t sit on the fence, as soon as you get an appointment email either accept and decline (giving a reason) if you don’t accept a game you might be taken off it.
